Logistics Project: National Science Foundation

Served as a key liaison supporting National Science Foundation Arctic research missions in a remote and logistically complex environment. Coordinated across local leadership, government stakeholders, contractors, and scientific teams to ensure mission success and operational continuity.

Oversaw infrastructure, logistics, and communication efforts enabling year-round research in extreme conditions. Aligned stakeholder priorities, streamlined coordination, and supported high-visibility national research initiatives.

This experience reflects the ability to translate complex requirements into action, strengthen cross-sector collaboration, and deliver results in high-stakes environments.

Note: The National Science Foundation does not endorse Move The Journey; this project is a reflection of prior work completed by Dr. Alexandra Swanson.

On behalf of our Arctic research support and logistics team at NSF, please accept our gratitude for all of the assistance you have provided us over the past year. In particular, your help and guidance on facility issues, directing us to the right points of contact, and researching facility and engineering topics at Thule have greatly helped to advance our activities there... We truly appreciate all that you’ve done to advance scientific research activities in the Arctic...
